We are playing this in my school orchestraas well, I LOVE this song! I wish our orchestra was THAT big!

Good performance. Played this at organizational festival this year (that is to say, 2008). Wished that we moved on to state finals with our full orchestra, since I liked the program we had (Egmont Overture by Beethoven, 2nd mvmt. Serenade for Strings in E minor by Elgar, and 4th mvmt. Symphony No. 9 "From the New World" by Dvorak).

While my high school doesn't have any strings (it's so small), we play this song really well! I have the first alto saxophone part (I'm the only saxophone player.... I also switch between first, second, and third on this instrument--and I play tenor, soprano, and baritone as well because I don't have a choice)and the highest notes are all altissimo... It is still a really fun song to play. (Believe it or not, but our band has only 23 students; we're still the best in eastern Colorado....)

OMG! this song makes me cry :') you guys play it so well, i am playing it this year in my schools symphonic orchestra.I'm Principal Horn...and even though i only play 8 measures i make it knon im there!!!great job you guys!P.S. your schools should compete agaisnt each other. we would have a good competitoin
