We must inform the FMC on the approach path that you put it on the runway. In general all approaches were made following a path set (wapoints, path, altitude). This road which allows the approach is called: STAR. (Standard Terminal Arrival Route). You need cards with the Star arrivals from the airport and runway arrival.

Thank you very much! :) Can I ask which one do you do? And i prefer the 1st option, when you say ' when you're on the path of the track', how do you get on the path of the track. I'm more interested in lining up with the centerline than the plane landing itself. Thank you soooo much, you're being a great help :)

I, you have two options: - Manually, by setting the right frequency radio and selecting the proper course for Display race. When you're on the path of the track you turn the button APP on the PA. If you meet the right speed, the plane will land alone. - Either with the help of FMC who will manage the aircraft on a vertical and horizontal intercept ILS.
