There is a very good chance you have, in 4 minutes, explained the entire reason we do this. Freaking beautiful...

Living every day in such close proximity to one another, elbow-to-elbow on the street and everywhere else, NYorkers are in fact acutely aware that things exist outside them. No one has asked or required us to play music in the subway, and there's no implied or explicit obligation passers by to take notice. The subways are some of the most inhospitable places to be, the fact that a handful of people linger there, to listen to our music, is gratifying, it's the reason we're there.

Is this the inimitable TB I'm talkin' to? We can't do as well as you did in Boston a few years back -- we're talking the master here -- but New Yorkers are much nicer than they sometimes appear, and there are always a good number of smiles that greet us in that sea of busy people running from here to who knows where. If it is TB, I'll see you soon. Boston beckons.JB

Hey Norah . . . great to hear from you, and thanks for the kind words. What I'm curious about is the guy in the business suit who drops money in our case. Isn't that Lee Iacocca with some hair color treatment? You never know in New York who might happen by.hope you're well, and look forward to seeing you again sometime in the not-too-distant future.Jim

An interesting exercise, nicely conceived and put together. It quietly exposes the frenetic, self-absorbed quality of New York life against the backdrop of an introspective, beautiful -- and not overdubbed -- tune.

Thanks for this.Gotta say, I love the way youse think and move as artists in the world. You never fail to delight and inspire.yr true fan, from Boston, NorahPS does look like Andrew Weil who would take a break to bust a move in the subway - hence his good health - see all the above and Dagmar is good for you too!

I'm pretty sure that old bearded guy dancing on the right isfamed wellness guru Dr. Andrew Weil. That, or Santa on Vacation in NYC.Kinda sad how many people didn't even give you a courteous glance and how ungenerous New Yorkers are. I used to make a fortune (for a starving 20 year old) busking in the Boston subways in the early 80's, and counted on it to supplement my grocery bills as my 2 day jobs barely covered my rent.Ah, the good old days.............
