you are absolutly right. That is my point. Why should he be compare to Pavarotti? Those who started this comparison they insulted both. Each has his own place in the pantheon.

My coment did not have anything to do with who is better or the best. You are right, pavarotti is no Nazer, and Nazer is no Pavarotti. My point is why to even compare? They are an apple and an orange. Just the comparison is an uneducated one.

With all respect for the late paverotti, nor can we Iranians ever call him a "NAZERI"!open your mind and eyes to see all the different colors of the cultural rainbows that make up all the international cultures and the art & musics they cultivate. Only then will you realize that different tastes like mint and thyme are so nourishing to our tastebuds just BECAUSE they ARE different, not necessarily better or worse than eachother...peace.

it astounds me why people usually think ANY damn thing that originated in the west has a higher standard than any other form on earth?!!! well here's the big surprise it's NOT TRUE!

Though he is one of the greatest in the pantheon but I wont call him the "pavarotti".

I just wanted to add that Nazeri was awarded with the FIRST prize & honors in the "World Music" category by Asia Society in 1997 in Fez, and his album was a nominee for the grammy in "world music" just last year....the world is much larger and the arts are more abundant than to be able to measure them all with one stick...Maybe Paverotti is the "Italian Nazeri"!

Don't worry everyone.I am POSITIVE this dendrix guy is not even mexican but a white anglo-saxon who thinks the world is as big as his big fat white nose!He probably hasn't seen more than two or three countries, doesn't know anything outside of his small cultural circle hence does NOT know that Paverotti's come in many different forms and voices and languages, like beauty & art. The nickname "Iranian Paverotti" was NOT given to Maestro Nazeri by his fellow Iranians but by world known musicians..

the most PRESTIGIOUS artistic achievement the "Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur" was proudly presented to Maestro Nazeri in 2007. Let people like dendrix eat their racist hearts out!! :O) BTW dendrix, I do have to give credit for the very POOR and AWFUL quality of the videos posted here of Nazeri, I am SURE u're American, Nazeri is invited by numerous universities and cultural organizations to perform in the US, next time he's around please GO to one of his concerts and judge for yourself.
