I know this song is about black people pulling themselves up out of the situation they were born into.........but I just can't help but take her words and apply them to the fate of the universe that god made. The big bang, the universe's expansion followed by the big rip and it starting all over again. I usually hate people applying their own meaning to songs but there you have it. My own exception to the rule.
