The version of this song on the Jaco Pastorius album 'Live in Italy' is one of the finest tunes ever recorded, actually. Good luck finding it though!

Actually Zawinul wrote the bass line for the tune (as he did for most of his compositions), but Johnson was the first bassist to record it with the group.

Alphonso Johnson is a great bass player and played on the original track. He also wrote the last track on Black Market called Heradnu which had a great bass line. Alphonso also played on Mysterious traveller and Tale spinning and was one of the first innovators on the fretless bass. |
