As a National Guard soldier, I say this is bullshit. I personally saw (in AIT) illegals crossing the border and I couldn't do a THING about it. It was absolutely absurd that we are called on to defend this country and still we have to let people from OTHER countries walk into it armed with guns and drugs.

Here's and idea, pull 3 divisions of Marines out of Iraq, and lets put them on the boarder, they will build the fence, and patrol it... Shoot first ask questions after? Nope it won't even come to that, you just turn them around and send them packing.

If they are armed.... Shoot first and ask questions later.. No time to sit and think whether the guy feet away from you with a gun will pull the trigger.. Illegal aliens+guns=fair game... Even if they have rocks.... rocks+face shot= severe pain or even death... Once again, it only takes a few seconds and the border agent could be dead..

If I was those national guards I would just shoot if I was removed from the army I would be just as happy knowing I didn't let illegals get in.
