ugh.. it almost hurts watching SRV play on anything other than a stratokay I take that back, it hurts quite a bit. that is *not* a pretty guitar...

Hahahaha... What are you talking about? He said about SRV being better than him, that SRV was a god, musical channel, a perfectionist and he told the best possible things about SRV numerous times. Trully many times. In many interviews, videos, etc...

Clapton did say that about SRV. It was during an MTV interview, back when MTV was in its infancy. I was surprised to hear that too; Clapton was, and still is one of my guitar faves for many reasons, not the least of which is that he helped continue the resurgance of the blues in the 60s-70s. He never did explain that comment (to my knowledge, anyway) and I have never heard him repeat it. My guess is that he regretted saying that...

Tell that to Bugsy (he is the one who is uninformed) look at what he said, he said that white people can't play the blues, that only black people can play the blues, that white people know nothing about the blues, that they suck, that they are all rich, that Stevie was average and nothing special, that he sucked, etc.... Get it now?

My goodness children, bugsy and grga88, chill out! You both kinda of sound uninformed about the brothers, blues and what music is all about. Do some DEEP research and you'll discover that you may have a life outside of YouTube.

And blues came from slavery and from black people, but that doesn't mean that only they can play the blues you retard. Tell that to B.B King and Buddy Guy and they will probably punch you in the face, mr.proffesional.

You retard, I never said you haven't send a list of songs that SRV played, cause you did, but unfortunately for the 100th time I am saying to you, none of them have a 10 min. solo. Get it? SRV never played a song where he would play a solo for 10 min. with no stoping. He relied on rhythm more, never on soloing. And how is your video going? Please upload it, mr. king of the blues. Wanna see how you play SRV's stuff so easy. I asked you first, so you gotta do it first. I am waiting on you.

dude I gave you a link, wich you didn't go to, I gave you a list of songs over 10 minutes, you didn't acknowledge, I asked you to name how many songs that srv performed that were originaly done by the midnighters, you still haven't been able to answer.and there are thousands of books, videos, and testimonies from old blues guys all claiming the blues came from slavery.but you are a 16 year old from croatia.that explains why you know nothing about american historygo buy a history book
