I actually downloaded it here in the States a year ago. It wasn't on DVD here yet. Is now, and I've purchased it.

In America it got the R rating. I usually call R, "Real". As in "Real life". Slasher films deserve R, indie films with a grand moral story deserve PG-13. But the rating system is crap here in the States.

thats not the argument, the reason this film has been made an 18 is not because children and young teenagers havent come across such violence, but because they are worried about how they will interpret the racism and anger in the film

It's shown on Film4 and kids WILL see it! Film4 is free-to-air on satellite/cable/freeview!

thats complete bollocks, this is a classic film and is definitely suitable for teenagers.adults have got another thing coming if they think teenagers aren't around violence and swearing. |
