Jesu, joy of mans desiring,Holy wisdom, love most bright;Drawn by Thee, our souls aspiringSoar to uncreated light.Word of God, our flesh that fashioned,With the fire of life impassioned,Striving still to truth unknown,Soaring, dying round Thy throne

Im not much of a fan of Máiréad particularly, but she's quite engaging here, no doubt. Now about singing and breathing at 0:38,0:52... let any one of us who think we're better than Méav go ahead and kid herself... unprecedented to me. harmonies at 2:45. the beauty is M&C, depth is Órla. Who can match perfection at 3:54 I agree Railiee "no one can" Fine listening pleasure

I'm a coloratur soprano, that's why I adore it so much. I know it's not high, I payed attention for how pure and quiet that sound is. And she hasn't got that awful vibrato that almost all "pseudo-coloratura's" have. |
