but it's easy to play. yesterday at a party we played it and everybody knew the controls perfectly after maybe 30 seconds. top spin 3 is maybe better, but virtua tennis is "pick-up-and-play" which makes it more interesting for players who don't want to "learn" a game

Just because can buy an XBox tomorrow doesn't mean that people in their 30-40's maybe even older would do so. The Wii is meant to be played by kids and older people because its simple. Nintendo ALWAYS has been that way. Btw, the gimmicky controls of the Wii is just utter trash for like half of the game library. I predict that the Wii will not be played as much next year seeing as how a few true Wii owners are switching over to other consoles due to sweet games coming out.

Hey, way to be on top of the argument. I made this comment like two months ago so you're really on the ball there. You just can't stand the fact that a simple machine like the wii with it's slow processor and limited graphics continues to outsell the others. Do you think I care about the price? I would buy an X-Box tomorrow if they had interactive gameplay. Don't fool yourself, everyone else has watched Nintendo and they will have their own interactive systems soon...

It sold the most because its cheap you dumbass. Of all systems, even older ppl would buy it over an XBox360 or PS3. Old ppl play it too because its the most simple. Swing a damn controller around. Of course it would sell more that way. How about pulling out an extra $50-$150 and buy a real console that's not meant for just little kids or old ppl wanting something close to the Atari2600 and thus can't use a modern day controller.
