You know what's weird? When like..they start out, the frontman or anyone else from a band start doing gigs, they're like..skinny. But over the years they get ripped, or somewhat muscley.

He's the singer right? If so, i can tell, in this video he's kinda scrony, but i just watched m16 live and he looks thicker.

Why the Slayer hate?
calumonguitar666 (January 1, 1970 at 12:59 am)
there's really evil feel to the first 2, that early black metal kinda vibe, but reign in blood is just kinda like 2 minutes songs recycling riffs in the format I talked about earlier

Reign in Blood doesn't really bother me 'cause the songs are short, though it is my least favorite out of the first three albums... and trust me, it has more variety on it than other thrash metal albums that are also good.

Yeah, but no thrash bands use e's as much as slayer, honesly in raining blood the main riff is 3 measures of palm muted e's followed by a satanic sounding fill repeated 4 times. Over the course of 30 seconds I hear 70 something e's and 8 notes. Not really entertaining.I agree with yuo about their early stuff, although I disagree with reign in blood, all the songs sound the same, it's really boring, it's like the same song on repeat 12 times at different lenghts...

I agree about Slayer, but a lot of thrash has lots of palm-muted e's. The problem with Slayer is that they really don't have much else to offer other than recycled riffs from either their earlier work or that of Venom. When it comes down to it, I refuse to own any Slayer LPs other than the first three. Everything after that is boring as shit to me... I can't believe how famous they've become on sheer repetition.

The song that sets off one of the greatest thrash albums ever
calumonguitar666 (January 1, 1970 at 12:59 am)
Slayer can suck my dick, there an over rated bunch of pussy's who use alot of palm muted e's and a whole bunch of e, f, f#, a, a#, and b power chords, in every fucking song!!!Blasphemous eh?they've sold millions of chords using 6 notes... pathetic, what's worse is now the emo's are into the them, making them even worse |
