680 has a lot of bugs with FSB as well as needing more volts to OC.the p45 chipset is much better choice. Got my Q6600 to 3.4ghz without a voltage change @ 1.30v default volts.

There are a few, but I can't think of the names right off the bat. To be honest, you're far better off just chaning motherboard if you really want to overclock.

i have a q6600 , p5kpl-am , en9800gtx+ , 2gb ram i think at 800 frequencitell me how to OC my proc please :)i have no experience altrough i visit google a lot ... :) please ...

My Board is a ASUS M2N61-LA i think. By the way i know how to overclock in BIOS but my bios does not have overclocking tool :(. Do you know any programs that runs in windows... overclocking program?

The P5N-E SLi is a good board dude, if it's the 680i one you have.

Hi there. CPU overclocking is done in the BIOS of your motherboard. Basically, you need to tap delete when booting the system, as soon as you see the first screen keep tapping delete and you should find your way in. Be careful though, and read up on a few guides on the internet. It's also worth noting that some motherboards don't have the capability to overclock so you should check up on that first.Hope I helped :) |
