The anime itself the whole design was off doesn't matter about the story if I'm disgusted watching it you know? It didn't have the same feel.

Anyone expecting something close to what the series was is missing the main focus of both the movie & series. Hitomi & her relation with Van & how it changes her. All that plotting, backstory, & development from the series was very well done. I personally have not seen an equal in a series that only went 26 episodes. (More even then my favorite anime Neo Genesis Evangelion.) I am suprised & grateful they had what they had for a 100 minute feature.

Ohohoohohoh -breaks into a tear ridden rage- this is not escaflowne holy shit open your eyes have you clogged them with salt because thats what i feel like seeing this burning in my eyes! how many things have they skipped how many aspects have they overlooked anyone here remember that von had wings no one? man it would have been alot smarter to remake the series into a series of OVA's instead of this deviation.

It had to change, they pretty much had to tell the whole story in an hour and a half's time period. Thats not very easily done, so you have to respect the fact that they were even able to accomplish such a feat at all.

No this is the movie, they only did one season of actual episodes unfortunetly.
