I think they mean that we should pay attention to what our enemies are doing, make sure that we know what our enemies are thinking, so we can try to understand why they hate us (things like us invading their countries and putting people in power because they're easy to control).

"Listen to your enemies will make yourself safer". That's a debatable argument, don't forget that your enemies are religious fanatical that believe that you are a satanic power. Talking to them would be a sign of weakness and would give them the impression that you are losing the war on terror.

Bill Maher is such a tool. When he had Ron Paul on his show in March he made a mockery of the fact that Paul thought we could have handled the abolition of slavery with diplomacy rather than with a war. And now that he completely dominated the Republican debates and people are listening to him he's kissing his ass.

Someday it may be against the law to use a screen name like that too! Where do libertarians turn for a reasonable government? We don't have the church, and we don't have the corporations. No money = no power. When they come to take away our rights, just remember what our forefathers sacrificed in blood. We must stand our ground!!
