this was such a sweet scene...i don't know why they cut the deer part either, it was so beautiful....Alexander and Hephaistion's chemistry definately made the film

I know, I can't believe they cut the best words of the whole film! I have the Revisited version, and the scene out on the balcony is longer in total, but they cut this part! Unbelievable.!!!

It was scenes between these two that made the film worth watching. Other than that it was very "watered down" to prevent harsh criticism.Jared Leto is gorgeous.

I actually feel for Roxane. She never had a chance to gain Alexander's heart because it was already taken. The love between Alex and Phai was beautiful but I find that part very sad.

Yes, the original (theatrical) version is the only one where they didn't cut out Hephaistion's words "Like a deer listening in the wind you strike me still, Alexander. You have eyes like no other". In the other versions he just begins by saying "You're everything I care for". I don't understand why they left that out of the others.
