I've always thought that this magnificent album deserves a motion picture. A well done film about life, death and everything would have been the film that we'ed all have been forced to watch in grammar school in the 80ties -rather than "The Wall". I would have loved it.

Supper's Ready is way times better than anything Phil Collins ever did after Gabriel and Hackett left Genesis.

Bill Bruford, former drummer in bands like Yes or King Crimson... Gotta be quite good on drums ! ;-)

Genesis at it's best (Late 1970's). The music that Hacket and Gabriel wrote was great, but Phil's arrangements were always more energetic and gave Genesis the sound that has made them the best concert band to this day.

To me Banks was always the phenomenom here. Those haunting melodies are his creations and really had nothing to do with who was fronting the band. I hear all these people who say, "band wasn't the same" after Gabriel left. Unfortunately what they compare is Before Lamb and 80's Genesis. What they don't take into account is what an incredible band this was through the 70's. Trick, Wind and Wuthering, and then there were three and Duke are the High point of the band. I was there. It was incredible

I watched, saw and obsessed over Genenis throughout the transition of the band from Gabriel to Collins as lead. I, and everyone else, was incredulous that Phill would be able to pull off the vocals, continue to drum and that the band wouldn't disintegrate(many others fell prey to far less challenges). They handled it beautifully. Hackett, Bruford and Rutherford were all incredible talents in their own right.
