And that's one of the reasons Hip-Hop is in the state it is today. People like songs with a catchy hook just because it sounds good. I mean, yeah a song has to sound good, but it shouldn't be the first (let alone only) thing people look for.

i hear u. and actually waynes delivery is what makes him, the way he says stuff etc, or otherwise hed suck.imagen reading 80 percent of the shit he says in his songs just writen on paper, it would be like wtf, half of it dont even rhyme.but when he says it it rhymes perfectly and makes sense, or at least "sounds" lyrical...

I was responding to the people that seem to think Lil Wayne had hard hitting punchlines. As far as rhyming scheme goes, Lil Wayne is better than an average MC, but his delivery is nothing special. But, to me, these things are of little importance, especially if the lyricism is sub par, or has no meaning.

its not always about punchlines. If you really listen to what wayne was saying here it was kind of weird, but the rhyme scheme and delivery is what made the verse. It actually sounded pretty sick, and had more presence than whatever ja rule was sayingg.

lil wayne has one of the most irritating flows of all time. cash money creates nothing but shit.

I'm a music fan not a 50 or ja rule fan and i call it like i see it this song was good i don't understand why people are simply hatin' for no reason.
