im sick of all this "core" ykno i mean like ppl keeping trying to classfy genres just by taking some word and adding core to the end of it. its not bad music, but the kinds of genre names are annoying and unoriginal. total bull

Actually go back to Black Sabbath to hear the origins of metal, but they came around after Zeppelin, who as far as I can tell were just about the originators of rock as we hear it today. So all hail paige an plant haha!!
