what a load of tripe, research the 1996 results. she came 8th, OK, but the eastern countries did give her points. personally, i thought ireland (1st) and sweden (3rd) were best that year, although slightly less up to date and more genteel.

This song was a revelation finally dragging the dying ESC bang up to date. Look at the current crop there are plenty of dancy numbers that owe everything to this Aussie Queen.And who remember the winner from that year?

I must say that this song is definitely one that could take the prize easily that night, the problem was that ESC 1996 was one of the bests editions ever of the Eurovision Song Contest, and this song compared to the winner and runner up and third place from 1996 it should have placed 4th or maybe it's 8th position was right, still this is one of the most memorables songs I have from my teenage.
