I think myself privileged to be a friend of Robin's. He is a fabulous classical guitarist and a lovely person. His family, made up of wife, Anna and two sons Oliver and Felix, are equally lovely people. He is a great composer and musician.

I met Robin in the early 70's, I was a child and he dated my sister for a while. I know that this guy practiced daily. Eight hours a day, every day. He has being doing this for over thirty years and it has taken this long to get where he is today. Fancy marketing might work for your latest generation of talentless reality TV wannabees. For the more discerning musical palate, lifelong dedication and rare talent are the only things that will get you noticed.

I will agree that there are many great performers but when it comes to writing music Robin Hill has a gift. Just listen to his canzone fpr two guitars.

I had the good fortune of being on the QM2 last September (2006)when Mr.Hill gave two performances I will never forget. I was entranced by his music.

Amazing how everything today is about marketing.The guy can play, I won't say that he is incompetent...but I probably know hundreds that can play better that will never become this succesful...I guesss it is like that in many things in the world

Thanks! I guess I probably didn't catch his right hand strokes very clearly then. I've ordered Guitar Gymnasium recently and I'm looking forward to using it to improve myself too. Once again, thanks for the reply.
