I love how Audrey can dance just as wildly as Jackie...priceless!!! If only TV could be as entertaining and clean these days...but then again, that's why they call these CLASSICS of the Golden Age of Television!!!

A few fun facts. Reggie's father is of course Art Carney and his mother is played by Zamah Cunningham, better known to Honeymooner's fans as Mrs. Manicotti. The Reggie character was loosely based on the rich playboy character Rodney St. Clair, which was originated by one of Gleason's favorite silent comedians, Ben Turpin. And that great theme music for the Reggie character is called Shangri-la. It was written in 1946 and became a big vocal hit in 1957 by a group called the Four Coins.

Great Gershwin song. It must have been a favorite of Gleason's, for I've used it heard in the Classic 39.

Audrey is so sexy and funny; I recently saw a Gleason retrospective where they did pretty much the same sketch with more frantic music and my sides are still hurting. You'll notice that Reggie's egomania prevents him from sharing the spotlight with his dance partner.
