این محموعه گل دوزی های زندان را به وجدان های بیدار تقدیم می کنم. مجموعه ای تنیده ز دل بافته ز جان که در زندانهای جمهوری اسلامی شکل گرفته است. تلاش بر این بوده است در حالیکه وحشی گری و خفقان بر ما زندانی ها بیشترین فشار را می آورده امیدها و آرمان ها را در غالب کار هنری مجسم کند و از طریق آنها بر فراز حصارهای بلند زندان بال بگشاید.آنرا که رویای آزادی و برابری بشریت در سر است امیدوار میماند و راه مقاومت برمیگزیند. هر کس را به گونه ای....شهره کیاI dedicate this collection of my embroideries called "Beyond Confines" to the awakened souls. These works are woven by my heart and inspired by my soul. I did these works during the years of 1981-1987 in the prisons of the Islamic Republic of Iran,captured as a political prisoner.My endeavour here is to show how I visualized my hopes and dreams in the context of art while I was under pressure of violence and dictatorship. By doing these works I became able to fly my wings over the tall walls of the prison cause a one who dreams of human equality and freedom stays hopeful and chooses to defend himself in various ways.Shohreh Kia

What a beautiful work!! It touches my heart and soul. It is beyound word! You had the ability to turn the most difficult situation, being in brutal prison, but your imagination and thought were engaged with the elements that every human can't being seperated from. You did an amazing art work and most important you have shared it with people.

It is amazing beautiful piece of art. I admire the courage that even in time that you've been political prisoner in most brutal Islamic regime, but still could create piece of are that express the hope & freedom.
